I love watching the many people out and about in the city.  Every face reminds me that God loves them and created them uniquely.  He wants a personal relationship with them!  There are millions of faces that stare back at me on the metro, in the parks, at the cafes, at the bus stop.  God deeply loves each and every one of the 12 million in this city and wants to draw them to Himself.

There are many evidences that people worshipped the Lord in Russia at one time.  Old Orthodox churches and monasteries are all around.  It encourages me to see these reminders of the strong faith that many Russians once had.  I pray God would restore the church in Russia!

Moscovites love experiencing culture.  I do too.  I love going to events in the city, rubbing shoulders with Russians, and enjoying the city that we both love so much.

Moscow is 100% the most strategic place in Russia to reach others with the Gospel.  My teammate Vova has said, "A movement that starts in Siberia, stays in Siberia.  But a movement that starts in Moscow will spread across Russia, to Siberia, and to the rest of the world."  One out of every 12 people you see on the street in Moscow is a student!  Students studying in Moscow will be the future city, country, and world leaders - in business, in education, in government, and in the marketplace.

I am in Moscow because there are 12 million people here who desperately need Christ's hope.  For so long, they lived under religious oppression.  We have the words of life to set them free!

I want to be in the place where the most influential Russians are.  That's Moscow.   I love Russia.  It's my home.  And it's in my heart.  The people, and the place, they don't always love me back.  But I press forward, and continue sharing Christ and loving others here, because Christ IS transforming this city, and I am deeply grateful to play a part in that transformation.
